3D Factory Planner

KADA Factory Simulator

Interactive phone-line designer for arranging factory machines on a 3D floor and reading the production metrics beside the layout.

PROBLEM
  • Production-line planning gets hard to reason about when machine size, cycle time, power draw, headcount, and missing stages live in separate notes.
  • The factory layout needs to stay readable while still showing station order, line flow, and bottlenecks.
SOLUTIONS
  • Built a 3D factory floor where users can place SMT, inspection, assembly, test, and packaging machines, then read the line as a connected flow.
  • Added machine categories, stage colors, station labels, and line metrics for estimated output, takt time, power, floor usage, and bottleneck analysis.
  • Added incomplete-line feedback so missing steps such as electrical test, final assembly, functional test, and packaging are called out while designing the line.
IMPACT
  • Turns a machine list into a visual planning surface where the layout and production math can be checked together.
MODULES
Machine Palette
Equipment grouped into logistics, SMT, inspection, final assembly, test and calibration, and packaging stages.
Line Metrics
Live output, takt, headcount, floor usage, power, bottleneck, and station utilization data beside the canvas.
3D Layout Canvas
A draggable factory-floor view for arranging machines and reading the production line from loader through later stations.
KEY CHALLENGES

The main challenge is keeping the visual layout and the production math in sync: a line can look complete while still missing stages, wasting floor space, or failing the target takt time.
